Bethel Park is a borough with home rule status in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Pittsburgh Metro Area, about 7 miles (13 km) south of downtown Pittsburgh.

The borough was incorporated in 1950 and has a population of over 30,000 residents. Bethel Park is home to several large employers, including the Bethel Park School District, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – South Side, and the South Hills Village mall. The borough also has a number of parks and recreation areas, including the Bethel Park Community Center and the South Park Golf Course.

Bethel Park's History

The area that is now Bethel Park was originally inhabited by Native Americans. In the 18th century, European settlers began to arrive in the area and established farms and businesses. The borough of Bethel Park was incorporated in 1950 and has since grown into a thriving community.
