Early Life and Education
Lindsey Olin Graham was born on July 9, 1955, in Seneca, South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Political Career
Graham was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 1992 and served until 1994. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1994 and served until 2002.
In 2002, Graham was elected to the U.S. Senate. He is currently the senior senator from South Carolina and serves on the Judiciary Committee, the Armed Services Committee, and the Budget Committee.
Graham is known for his conservative views and has earned a reputation as a problem-solver. He is one of the strongest proponents of a robust national defense and has been a vocal critic of President Joe Biden.
