Luis Diaz scores late equaliser as 5 Liverpool players feature in internationals

Liverpool’s Luis Diaz scored a stunning late equaliser to rescue a 2-2 draw for Colombia against Argentina in a friendly on Wednesday.

The winger, who joined Liverpool from Porto in January, came off the bench in the 62nd minute and levelled the scores with a superb curling effort from outside the box in the 85th minute.

Diaz’s goal was his first for Colombia since making his debut in September 2021.

The result means that Colombia remain unbeaten in their last six matches, while Argentina have now drawn their last two games.

In other international action, Liverpool’s Fabinho and Alisson Becker were both in action for Brazil in their 4-0 win over South Korea.

Fabinho played the full match at centre-back, while Alisson made his first international appearance since October 2021.

Mohamed Salah also made his first international appearance since the Africa Cup of Nations in January, as Egypt beat Guinea 1-0 in a friendly.

The forward played the full match and provided the assist for Mostafa Mohamed’s winning goal.

Sadio Mane was also in action for Senegal in their 2-0 win over Bolivia.

The forward played the full match and scored Senegal’s second goal in the 69th minute.

Naby Keita made his first international appearance for Guinea since the Africa Cup of Nations in January, as they lost 1-0 to Egypt.

The midfielder played the full match but was unable to prevent Guinea from suffering their first defeat in their last four matches.
